Hotels & B&Bs in Salisbury - brief description
White Hart Hotel. Former coaching inn. Close to the city centre. Good restaurant.
Red Lion Hotel. Typical old coaching inn, in central Salisbury. Beautiful hotel that is close to all the sights. Can be a bit noisy on Thursday - Saturday nights.
Milford Hall Classic Hotel. About a 4 minute walk from the Market Square, the service is second-to-none. Has many ground floor rooms and, being set back from the road, is quieter than most.
Cathedral Hotel. Not a hotel in the conventional sense, but more rooms above a pub. Recently refurbished. Lift to all floors - a rarity in Salisbury.
Rose & Crown Hotel. Just across the bridge from the Cathedral with lovely river views.
Chapter House. Opposite the Cathedral. It has some beautiful period rooms with low beamed ceilings. Huge amount of history attached to the building.
Grasmere House Hotel. Just across the bridge from the Cathedral with probably the best views of the Cathedral from any hotel. Situated on the banks of the rivers Avon and Nadder with picturesque gardens.
The Old Mill. As its name suggests a charming converted old mill in an idyllic location. At least a 10 min walk across the meadows from the centre, but you will get the views that John Constable painted of the Cathedral on the way.
Cricket Field House Hotel. Lovely family run small hotel on the outskirts of the city. Bit of a walk into the centre, but a great place.
City Lodge. In the centre of the City. One of the cheapest hotels you will find, but still good quality. It is room only and it doesn't provide any meals. For an early breakfast come out of the Lodge turn right, at the end of the street turn right and then left at the lights. About 30 metres along on the left is the Kings Head.
Victoria Lodge, Parklane, Sarum Heights, Devizes Inn, Alabare Guesthouse guest houses. All five are B&Bs outside of the ring road. A bit of a walk into the centre across a busy road through underpasses.
Qudos. Rooms above a pub. Good food & beer and friendly landlords. Very close to city centre and our meeting points.
Kings Head Inn. Rooms above a pub. In the city centre.
St Ann's House. Boutique style B&B close to city centre.
Premier Inn Salisbury North. Closest in style to a motel. 2 miles from city centre.
Cathedral View. A B&B in a great location opposite the Cathedral, but doesn't take credit cards. Very highly rated on Trip Advisor. Book direct.
Quidhampton Mill Apartments. Just outside the city in a tranquil location. Great hosts, very highly rated on Trip Advisor and rated as 'one of the best stays in Wiltshire' by the Sunday Times.
